Labor Day in Indy

Christy and I went to Indianapolis for Labor Day this year. Indy is quickly becoming one of our favorite cities. Here is a shot of Christy reading a local paper at a burger joint called Boogie Burger in the Broad Ripple neighborhood.
We ran into a Irish/Latino cultural festival in the Fountain District of Indy. St. Patrick's Catholic Church was holding the festival. Here is a shot of the Church.
Here are the Irish Dancers on stage. Christy was ready to jump in if they had any trouble.

Outside Victory Field in Indy, home of the Indianapolis Indians AAA affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Inside the ballpark, former home of Minnesota Twins great Harmon Killebrew who played for the Indy Tribe on his way to the big show. Killer played 38 games for the Indianapolis Indians in 1958.
Christy's favorite player for the Indy Tribe, Jason Delaney.A GREAT independent fly fishing shop called Fly Masters of Indianapolis. Note the very cool wooden float boat that they use and was not for sale. By the way, the Orvis shop sucked.
