Last night we went to the
Springfield Sliders game for the first time this year.

They play at
Robin Roberts Stadium a beautiful old ballpark.

The Sliders lost 10-6, but had a huge rally in the bottom of the 8th.

Robin Roberts Stadium has been the home of a former Cardinals minor league club, a professional female team in the 1940s, the
Springfield Sallies ,and for a short time a Negro League team after they got kicked out of Columbus, Ohio.

The Sliders are managed by former Cardinal great
Jack "The Ripper" Clark in the center of the photo below. Looks like he gained a bit of weight from his days in
the big show. He went 205 at that time.
